Space Invaders
My first job back in 1974 was repairing Slot machines on Clacton Pier in Essex and ever since I have loved them.
This is my self-built Space Invaders machine. Based on an Arduino circuit board the machine is an exact copy
of the original Atari machines you used to see in bars in the late 80's. Gameplay includes the random score Spaceship, multiple play
levels and a high score table. As a student in the 80's I spent hours playing this game in bars.
I used a gaming quality joy-stick and buttons to give a quality feel to the game and the screen is a standard LCD monitor
off a PC with a custom cut black surround to hide the monitors labels etc.
